Vision Band 2000 Hot for Antigua Carnival 06

Edimelo & Vision 2000 Inc. Band Carnival 2006 CD Titled, The Journey Continues, Appeals To All Music Lover and Rocks With Don’t Stop This Party Re-mix   (Edimelo continues the journey making another bid for Calypso Monarch Title)   July 10, 2006, St. Johns, Antigua. Vision 2000 Inc. Band releases its 2006 carnival CD titled The Journey Continues. The title of this CD (The Journey Continues) speaks to the commitment of Edimelo and the Vision 2000 Inc. family to the culture of carnival, calypso and soca music.   Edimelo, for three consecutive years has won and currently holds the title of Antigua’s “Social Commentary Calypsonian of the Year” a title he intends on retaining with his 2006 social commentary, That Was Yesterday and A Different Kind of a Rose. Both songs transcend all political affiliation and convey the prevailing opinions in Antigua and Barbuda.  Edimelo strives to be a messenger, a leader in shaping public opinion as well as being one of the voices of the citizenry of Antigua and Barbuda in the calypso art form.  The 2006 CD, The Journey Continues, not only contains great social commentary calypso hits, but in keeping with the Vision 2000 Inc. Band tradition, this CD rocks with a number of soca music fitting for carnival revelry as well as party music that has a life beyond carnival, such as Country Gal, and the blazing hot remix with King Swallow, of his international chart buster hit, Don’t Stop This Party.  The remix of Don’t Stop This Party brings together one of Antigua’s and the Caribbean most prolific and commercially successful calypsonian of yester year, King Swallow with one of Antigua’s current premier artist in Edimelo whose stock continues to rise each year not only at home but on the international market with increasing sales of his CD’s annually and Don’t Stop This Party will play a strong role with continuing this trend on the international market as well as at home.  The CD also has a hot track featuring Samantha Brown.  Once again, Edimelo and Vision 2000 Inc. Band delivers in The Journey Continues  a blend of sweet calypso music driven by vibrant lyrics that music lovers of all ages must have in there music collection. Each year there is great anticipation, which is supported with strong sales in some of the USA cities and other international markets of Edimelo’s and Vision 2000 Inc. Band music. Vision 2000 Inc. band, for Antigua’s Carnival 2006 will be playing mass with Wadadley Madness mass camp. Edimelo, as the band’s lead singer and captain, a yearly favorite for the Party Monarch competition, and an annual finalist as a contender in the Calypso Monarch competition, continues the journey as we celebrate the culture and history of Antigua’s Carnival.  Edimelo embarks on the 2006 journey for the coveted Calypso Monarch title with songs such as That Was Yesterday and A Different Kind Of A Rose.  “I have truly enjoyed participating in the annual Calypso Monarch competition, in spite of the yearly controversy; this is what we do as calypso and soca artist. We all want to walk away with the crown each year, but the reward is in the journey to achieve that goal.  Its carnival and we come back each year because we love being a part of the madness that makes our carnival special” stated Edimelo. The Journey Continues CD is available in most music store and it’s a CD that’s a must have for 2006 carnival
