The Roxbury Film Festival Boston has a a variety of films featuring Caribbean people, places, and events.  These films are directed and produced by Caribbean people and people of color from all walks of life.  Check out www.roxburyfilmfestival.org for an updated film schedule.  One of my favorites is listed below.

JOEBELL AND AMERICA, Directed and Produced by Asha Lovelace Narrative Feature 82 minutes Based on the short story by Earl Lovelace, Joebell & America tells the tale of Joebell, a young man from Trinidad who believes his destiny is to live in America - the land of his dreams. Joebell plots and schemes to find a way into the United States. Saturday, July 29 at 4:15PM in the Tower Auditorium at the Massachusetts College of Art.
