CARIBBEAN GRAMMY AWARDS, LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN
Caribbean Music needs its own Grammy just like Latin Music has its own. There are so many artists that deserves to be recognized for their work, it is long over due. The Grammy's recognizes only two genres from the Caribbean Region, Reggatone and Reggae. Caribbean Music genres such as Calypso, Zouke and others were established long before Reggatone. Caribbean music has many unrecognized genres because most Caribbean Musicians and recording artists are not members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. You have to be a member in order to be nominated or recognizeds as a legitimate genre. Caribbeanculture.com has joined the campaign to create the Caribbean Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to legitimized Caribbean Music Genres and establish a Caribbean Music Hall of Fame.
